The Mice are Keeping Me Away

Alas, it seems the severe mouse infestation in our house has migrated to my bedroom. Since that's where my computer is, and since I've been avoiding my room as much as possible (due to my extreme phobia of mice), I have not been able to post much (or sleep, or much of anything else other than have severe anxiety attacks because of the mice).

It looks like until the mouse problem is dealt with, I will not be around much, as the only other chance I have to post is at work -- and frankly, I don't have all that much time while at work to post.

I sympathize. I lived where there were scorpions on the loose in the apartment once. When creatures are after you, there is no time to sleep.

Oh Gawd, I'm totally mouse-phobic too. Earlier this winter, I found mouse droppings in the kitchen cabinets and evidence that they had chewed up toilet paper and paper towel in a storage closet. I was cleaning out the mess, when I suddenly found a mouse hanging off the sleeve of a coat! I screamed so loud the rest of the family was convinced some ax murderer had broken into the house.

Mice are scary.

When my mom was little (and living in small, mice-rich Iowa town) her parents told her that they couldn't get any traction on tin cans. They put each of her bedposts into an empty tin can to reassure her that the mice, though present, could not approach. silly, but she said it worked.

Got any tin cans?

Ew! Creepy. Good luck with that.

Do you know anyone who could lend you a cat for a couple of days (that is, if you're not allergic)? I can't imagine many mice willingly hanging round a place with the smell of deadly predator. And Kittikins may even take care of a few of them for you.

We have 2 cats. One catches and usually kills them (but then leaves the dead bodies hidden around the house). The other one plays with the mice, but never ends up killing them.

BTW -- the other night, there actually was one in my bed. EWWWWWWWWWW!!!!

But we already have a litter box. For those 2 cats i talked about earlier.

Anyway, the exterminator seems to be doing a pretty good job.

I am desparately searching for the causes of severe mice phobia for my sister who wants to know why she has this fear (always had) but she's too scared to look it up herself because she might see a picture of one by accident!! Actually I think even reading the word upsets her. Anyone have any insight???

Thank.

Oh SHIT!!I am or have MP too. My little 5 yr. old daughter crawled into bed with me this am and she all of the sudden started screaming, I jumped up and turned the light on. I thought she was having a nightmare but she started screaming "Sweet pea(OUR LAZY ASS CAT) has a mouse and it ran out of the bed!" I can't sleep tonight. This sucks. My poor girl. She was so traumatized. The cat decided to bring into our bed to play. My man thinks this is funny. Yeah real frickin funny. What is up with that. I hope your mouse problems are all over now.

Oh my god!! I have a crazy irrational mice fear too!!! Just reading of other people who feel the same helps...I have tried to find sites to talk about it with others but can't!
I had a mouse invasion a few months ago now, and it ruined my life for awhile there! I couldn't sleep for hours, and only then it was because I was exhausted - I would lie in bed and hear all these sounds and imagine they were mice, then have to flick the light on to investigate, lol bloody tiring. I had them isolated to my kitchen, so could barely eat because I couldn't stand being in the same room as them. Emptying the traps took me ages and ages, I was shaking so much it kept slipping, I was almost hysterical! I had the doors blocked with towels to stop them moving around the house...it really was crazy but I think having to deal with them has eased my fear a bit in the end. Anyway, just wanted to share my experiences, thanks for giving me the chance!

Hi there my home name is beans; I have just gotten married 6 months ago. The day after my honeymoon my husband and I happily moved into our new home only to find a mouse in the house.....
I jumped on the kitchen table and cried hysterically until he managed to chase the rodent out the door. Up until today I cry and scream hysterically if I see a mouse or rat. We have invested in an electronic device that we keep plugged on daily. This device irritates the rodent’s nervous systems and keeps them out. The device is harmless to humans due to its mild electrical signals. IT WORKS!!! I LOVE THIS DEVICE IT’S BEEN 5 MONTHS SINCE WE HAD NO MICE! Looking to buy one it’s called the PEST MAGIC good luck guys

Buy Guild Wars 2 Gold in the event you can not visit your diy as offering the D/D combo, next I might declare P/P or even Shortbow will be amazing secondary models. when you cannot visit your do it yourself offering D3 Gems the Shortbow, there is not any result in could hardly delay S/P because your second started regarding curbing and unfolding lowering your enemy.
